Shots Fired In Puyallup; 2 Suspects Flee Scene

The incident happened around 5 a.m. Sunday, according to Puyallup police.

PUYALLUP, WA - Puyallup police ended up in a chase with suspects early Sunday morning after responded to a shots fired call along South Meridian Street. Around 5 a.m., police responded to the 250 block of South Meridian to investigate and saw a vehicle fleeing from the scene.

Police found the vehicle near 27th Avenue Southeast and 7th Street Southeast and tried to stop it. The vehicle fled and police followed until the car crashed near Forest Green Boulevard and 23rd Avenue Southeast. Two people in the car fled on foot, but police only found one of them near the scene.

Despite a K9 track, the second suspect was not located, according to Puyallup police. Police did not immediately report any shooting victims related to the incident.

Inside the suspects' car, police found a rifle and drugs. The suspect that was caught was bitten by a K9 from Auburn and had to be taken to the hospital. Puyallup police are still looking for the second suspect and describe him as a white male in his 20s; he will likely have lots of scratches due to running through the brush.
