SR 167 Will Close Tuesday For Officer's Funeral Procession
Drivers headed northbound on SR 167 Tuesday will encounter detours near Kent.

PUYALLUP, WA - A stretch of northbound SR 167 will be closed Tuesday morning to make way for a funeral procession for fallen Kent police officer Diego Moreno.
The closure will begin at 10:50 a.m. and last until around noon. The closure will affect only northbound lanes between 15th Street Northwest and SR 516. That's a four-mile stretch between the Emerald Downs race track and downtown Kent.
The public memorial service for Moreno, 35, begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

Moreno died July 22 during a pursuit of a shooting suspect. Moreno was attempting to deploy a row of spikes to stop the suspect when he was hit by another Kent officer's SUV.
