Thief Attacks Puyallup Cop With Hot Pockets Sandwich, Minor Injuries Reported

The Hot Pockets attack happened Friday at a business along North Meridian, police say. No word on what flavor it was.

PUYALLUP, WA - Usually, Hot Pockets really hit the spot. This Hot Pockets sandwich, however, hit a cop.

During a strange incident at a store along North Meridian Friday, a man hit a police officer with a frozen Hot Pockets sandwich (we don't know the flavor) during a scuffle. The man was spotted by store employees pouring fuel from a Coleman canister into a Powerade bottle. The man then went to heat up a Hot Pockets sandwich, but then began yelling and "taunting" employees.

When the man tried to leave, employees attempted to stop him because of the fuel, and he became "assaultive." When an officer arrived and attempted to arrest the man, he hit the officer in the head with the frozen Hot Pockets sandwich.

While doing said yelling for the suspect to come out a person just north of the house took off running. Officer continued to surround the house in question. After more yelling and horse voices a male emerged from under the house who said he thought we were the UPS man making a delivery (uh huh). The male was related to a contractor doing work on the house and had permission to be at the house.
