Puyallup Man Dies After Getting Hit By Amtrak Train
Police were on scene at a downtown Puyallup rail crossing Monday morning.

PUYALLUP, WA - A 65-year-old Puyallup man died Monday morning after getting hit by an Amtrak train in the downtown area, according to police. The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. Monday near the rail crossing at 5th Street Northwest and Stewart Avenue.
A police investigation into the man's death closed rail crossings at 5th and 7th streets Northwest for about 90 minutes. However, police do not believe the man's death was the result of foul play.
All roadways are back open from the earlier train v pedestrian accident. Officers remain on scene investigating.
