Try something fun and new this summer; be a host family for an exchange student! International Understanding (FIU) is bringing students from Okinawa, Japan and is in need of 2 host families.
The students will be staying here from July 20th through August 16th. They will attend daily classes Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, to learn conversational English and American culture. The classes will be held at the Puyallup United Methodist Church. They will also have many field trips, such as a Mariners game, Pike Place Market, shopping, and more. (Host families are welcome to attend, but not necessary.)

Every activity is prepaid, and the students have their own finances. There is no need for a separate bedroom; but they do need their own bed (we can provide if needed) and a welcoming family.
So please open your heart and home to help a new friend!
