Victim In Fatal Stabbing Near Puyallup Identified

The 18-year-old was involved in a fight with another man Monday night, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

FREDERICKSON, WA - The 18-year-old man who died after a stabbing at a gas station near Puyallup has been identified. Edward Anthony Pilotte II died of a stab wound to the chest, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner.

Pilotte was stabbed late Monday night at a gas station along the 16100 block of Canyon Road East. The stabbing happened after an altercation with another man, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

Tyler Wallace, 20, was arrested on a second-degree murder charge in connection to Pilotte's death. Wallace is scheduled to appear in court Friday to face that charge.

Witnesses told police that Pilotte got into his car and began driving in reverse after the stabbing. A witness had to get into Pilotte's Acura to stop the vehicle.
