A few volunteers from CARE are doing a loop or two around Bradley Lake. This is our first time meeting, for many of us, and will give us a chance to introduce ourselves and talk about CARE and how we want to contribute. Feel free to share your stories about how cancer has touched your life, why helping CARE is important to you, and/or ask any questions about CARE.
Then, we're heading to Starbucks across from the South Hill Mall at 37th & Meridian. We'll grab some coffee and a bite to eat and have a quick brainstorming session regarding fundraisers - big and small - for CARE. Bring your ideas. Anything (well, almost anything) goes! I'm only staying for a short time at Starbuck's, but will leave you in the capable hands of Karen, Development Coordinator for CARE.

About South Sound CARE (CancerAwareness& ResearchExpansion) Foundation The South Sound Region is fortunate to have nationally recognized oncologists and clinical research institutions.
Until recently, there has not been a highly coordinated source of funding for these unique clinical research trials. Trials that may provide innovative therapy for patients that would otherwise be unavailable.
Our VISION is to ensure access to cancer clinical trials for every patient in the South Sound Region.
Our MISSION is to advance the quality of cancer care through awareness and availability to cutting edge cancer clinical trials in the South Sound; to educate and promote the importance of cancer research in our communities; to coordinate the resources to allow all cancer patients, irrespective of cost, the opportunity to take advantage of the best research options for their treatment; to be recognized for excellence in cancer clinical research.
