An Edgewood man is excited to fuel his hobby as a fisherman after winning $1 million playing Washington’s Lottery on January 30. The man purchased a “Solid Gold” Scratch ticket while grabbing a bite to eat from a Puyallup Fred Meyer (1100 N. Meridian). He said, “I was sitting down to eat, then I scratched the ticket. I thought to myself, ‘Well, I guess I’m not working anymore.’”
The winner said he hasn’t told anyone yet, but plans to share the exciting news with his daughter first. “She’ll be happy for me. I would love to give her my current car, and then buy a new one. I’ve always wanted a Camaro with a big engine and a stick shift!”
The longtime Washington’s Lottery player said he already has an idea of how he plans to spend his winnings. “I’ve always been a fisherman and lived close to a lake. I want to take a fishing trip with some buddies to Alaska. There’s nothing better than fishing, except winning million-dollar tickets!”
