Week Ahead Forecast: Chance For Snow In South Puget Sound

PUYALLUP, WA - Winter's not done with Western Washington yet.

According to the National Weather Service, there's a chance for snow early this week. It's not likely to accumulate much, but it may cause hazardous driving conditions. Aside from that, it's going to be a wet week overall around Puget Sound, and not too warm.

Here's the National Weather Service forecast for Pierce County and south Puget Sound area this week:

Monday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 10am, then rain showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 42. South wind 6 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Monday Night: Rain showers likely before 10pm, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. South southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tuesday: A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 10am, then rain showers. High near 45. Southwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tuesday Night: Showers. Low around 39. South southwest wind 13 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 47. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 40. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 48.

Thursday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 42.

Friday: Rain. Cloudy, with a high near 47.

Friday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
