2 Teens Rescued From Sammamish River After Kayak Accident
The King County Sheriff's marine unit rescued the teens Monday night.
REDMOND, WA - The King County Sheriff's marine unit rescued two teenagers from the Sammamish River near Marymoor Park on Monday night after a kayak accident.
The teens' kayak apparently turned over in the water, and they had to swim to a nearby island. They were stranded in the river and had to be brought to shore by the marine unit.
The sheriff's office reported that the two teens were returned to shore safely. The incident happened around 6 p.m. Monday night.
