Arson Fires Hit Redmond Neighborhoods: Police

REDMOND, WA - Someone is setting cars on fire in Redmond, and police are looking for tips to track down the arsonist. Firefighters have responded to seven fires since September in the downtown and Education Hill neighborhoods.

On Sept. 28, firefighters responded to a blaze at an apartment complex along the 17200 block of Northeast 85th Place. One car was engulfed, and a small fire was found in another car nearby. All of the other fires happened between Sept. 23 - 24 near the intersection of Northeast 79th Street and 170th Avenue Northeast.

The arsonist is not targeting specific cars, but some of the vehicles involved were unlocked, police said. The arsonist has not stolen anything from the cars.
