Barefoot Man Rampages Through Redmond Town Center
The incident began with a man attacking a car, according to Redmond police.
REDMOND, WA — A 26-year-old man was arrested in Redmond recently for going on a strange and violent rampage through the Redmond Town Center.
The incident happened around 6:15 p.m. on April 4, and began when the man attacked a Kia parked in the garage, police said. The barefoot man then went to a restaurant near the garage and grabbed a customer by the throat. He also smashed a glass on the ground.
When police arrived, the man fought against the officers, but they were able to arrest him. He went to jail on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, obstructing, resisting arrest, and malicious mischief.

A 24-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of throwing rocks at multiple cars as they drove past. Two drivers called 911 reporting their vehicles had been damaged and provided descriptions of the suspect. Arriving officers found the subject still throwing rocks when they arrived. Officers investigated a burglary and car prowl that was committed overnight by an unidentified suspect. The victim’s garage door had been left open and the thief entered, rifled through the two parked cars and stole golf equipment. Evidence gathered is being processed.

Police arrested a 27-year-old female suspected of hit-and-run in a grocery store parking lot. The victim told police the suspect hit her car, said she didn’t have insurance and took off. Criminal driver’s licence violation charges are pending.

A 30-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of possessing meth and heroin while he was reporting to a Redmond Community Court hearing. Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm to find thieves had smashed through a glass front door of a local cannabis shop. The unknown suspects also shattered a glass display case inside and stole merchandise. The investigation is ongoing.

Police arrested a 48-year-old male on suspicion of DUI. A Sergeant on patrol witnessed the suspect’s vehicle swerving and speeding and found the driver to be exhibiting several signs incompatible with sobriety. The suspect was arrested, his vehicle was towed and he was booked into jail.
