Local Cadets Supporting Arlington Fly-In Air Show
20 local cadets working at the air show this week.
Over 100 cadets from the U.S. Civil Air Patrol and the Royal Canadian Air Cadets are camped together at the Arlington Airport this week to assist with the Arlington Fly-In air show.
Most of the cadets aged 12-20 are trained in flight line marshalling and they help guide the pilots of the 1,200 aircraft expected to visit the show this year to the correct parking areas.
Overlake Squadron, based in Redmond, provided 20 percent of the cadets for this activity, more than any other unit, including the cadet commander C/Capt Evan Prior and 8 other cadet staff members.
