Local Cadets Win State Color Guard Competition

All-female cadet team is headed to regional competition in California next month.

The Redmond-based Overlake Squadron Color Guard is preparing to attend the regional competition in California next month after winning the Washington State cadet competition this weekend at Camp Murray near Ft Lewis.

Although primarily a color guard event, the competition also included a mile run, academic exam, and an extensive uniform inspection.

This is the first time that an all-female team has won the competition.  Our congratulations go out to the following local cadets, mostly aged 16.
