Wild About Redmond: an Urban Habitat Tour
Saturday, June 2: Join Redmond Wild, the City of Redmond, and Sustainable Redmond in celebrating wildlife and local conservation efforts on an urban habitat tour!

Join us on Saturday, June 2, anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.! Redmond Wild, the City of Redmond, and Sustainable Redmond are hosting a free to show people easy steps of how to be more wildlife friendly. We will feature five local sites:
- 2 homes
- 1 balcony
- 1 school
You can stop by any of the sites between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to enjoy our local wildlife and beautiful gardens and to see examples of steps you can take that will benefit wildlife. The event kick-off and center point will be at , where refreshments will be available. We will also have a guided walk of Grass Lawn Park and its sustainable elements.
Stay tuned to find out times of special guest speakers to learn and ask questions about local conservation efforts and how to be more wildlife friendly! Details will be announced closer to the event with addresses, directions, and times of guest speakers.

As part of the tour, we are also celebrating the support received from the Redmond Parks and Trails commission for certifying 22 of Redmond's park as wildlife friendly under the National Wildlife Federation's Certified Wildlife Habitat program. These park certifications exemplify that Redmond has adopted protecting wildlife and habitat as a priortiy, as well as encourages the city to maintain suitable habitat for wildlife in our parks. The park certifications also earned Redmond a large number of points, bringing Redmond closer to our goal of becoming a Community Wildlife Habitat.
