Brown Bear to Offer Free Car Wash Today

will celebrate its 54th anniversary next week by giving a free car wash from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 25, the company announced Tuesday.

Brown Bear's Redmond location is at 17809 Redmond Way.

During the past five years, the company said, it has washed 105,640 vehicles during its annual anniversary event.

"We've had an amazing response. It's a fitting way to say 'thank you' to our customers who have supported us over the years," Brown Bear founder and owner Vic Odermat said in a statement.

Odermat launched the company in 1957 with a location on 15th Avenue West in Seattle.
