See Seattle’s past through today’s eyes—and hear the stories behind the beloved "Seattle Now & Then" column.
Join the Redmond Historical Society for an evening with Jean Sherrard and Clay Eals, columnists for The Seattle Times’ long-running "Seattle Now & Then." Since 1982, the column has paired historic photographs with contemporary views to tell the stories of Seattle and the region.
Jean and Clay will take us behind the scenes of this labor of love, sharing the stories behind selected columns—including several Eastside connections. They’ll also talk about Paul Dorpat, longtime creator of the column, who became one of Seattle’s unofficial historians.
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Cost: Free for Redmond Historical Society members; suggested donation $5 for nonmembers.
This program is presented in partnership with the Redmond Historical Society and Friends of the Redmond Library.
