Cirque Du Soleil Performer Falls During Marymoor Park Performance
The performer experienced a "hard landing" while performing an aerial trick, according to Cirque du Soleil.

REDMOND, WA - A female Cirque du Soleil performer fell Thursday night during the opening night performance of "Luzia" at Marymoor Park.
The performer was attempting a transition between two swings when she fell and landed on her back on the stage, according to KOMO News. Images from the scene show medical personnel attending to the performer in front of the audience.
The performer was not taken to the hopsital, according to KOMO, and was "fully conscious and stable" after the accident. The show was stopped during the incident, but continued on after the performer was taken from the stage.

"[A]n artist had a hard landing during the 8 p.m. performance of Cirque du Soleil's Luzia in Seattle," Cirque du Soleil said in a statement. "All safety protocols were respected and the artist was immediately assisted by the emergency intervention team of Luzia."
This isn't the first time a Cirque du Soleil show has experienced an accident. Last November, a technician working on a "Luzia" show in San Francisco was hit by a piece of equipment and later died. Also in November, a performer at a "La Nouba" show fell about 40 feet during rehearsal.
