Redmond Chapter of Drinking Liberally, a politically progressive discussion group, the best-known program of the Living Liberally network.

Drinking Liberally - Redmond
Meets the second Tuesday of every month, 7-9 PM
Pomegranate Restaurant,
18005 NE 68th Street in Redmond
Our next meeting is March 10th.
If you are a political progressive living in or near Redmond, then this Chapter of the popular national discussion group is for you. We strive to be informal and inclusive. You don’t need to be a policy expert and this isn’t a book club - just come and learn from peers, trade jokes, vent frustration and hang out in an environment where it’s not taboo to talk politics.
Our March meeting will start off with a visit from WAmend, the Washington Coalition to Amend the Constitution, which is working to get Washington State on record calling for an Amendment to the Constitution thatcorporations are not people and money is not speech. This year WAmend will be filing an initiative to the legislative and collecting signatures from April to December to get an initiative on the 2016 ballot.to amend the US Constitution to clarify that corporations aren’t people and money isn’t speech. He is also one of the founding members of the Get Money Out of Politics working group of Occupy Seattle.
As always there will be plenty of time for good discussion on a variety of issues of concern to you.
