'Creepy' Man Arrested At Redmond Store, Called Employees 'Wives'

The 32-year-old also kept offering the workers at a Value Village store pairs of shoes, Redmond police said.

REDMOND, WA — A 32-year-old local man was recently arrested after "creepily harassing" women working at the Value Village store along Redmond Way, according to police.

The man was arrested around 11:30 p.m. on May 21 at the store for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. The man kept offering the Value Village workers shoes, and kept referring to them as his "wives," police said.

The employees were trying to close the store when the harassment occurred. The workers couldn't leave until police arrived to take the man away.

An observant resident thwarted a thief after he spotted an uninvited person skulking around his property in the middle of the night. The Good Samaritan called police when he saw the subject breaking into his neighbor's car. Officers arrived minutes later and detained the suspect- who also had an outstanding felony warrant- and booked him into jail. RPD sends kudos to the quick-thinking neighbor who saw something and said something and helped officers catch the thief red-handed.

A thief stole a bag out of an unlocked gym locker, found the victim's vehicle key and proceeded to prowl the car parked outside the gym. The suspect stole a laptop, the victim's wallet, clothing and other items. The suspect's identity is not currently known.

A thief stole a truck parked outside a Redmond restaurant likely using keys taken from the victim's Bellevue home during recent burglary. The victim told police a bag containing spare keys to the truck and papers with his work address on them had been stolen. No arrests have been made.

With the assistance of store employees, police were able to identify a 24-year-old female suspected of using a fraudulent check to pay for her dinner at a local pizza place. An employee told police the check seemed "out of place" after the suspect used it to pay for her $90 meal and generous $30 tip. Officers found the suspicious check had been stolen during a recent car prowl.

Two males were arrested for theft after a store employee witnessed them stealing four bottles of whiskey.

Two females attempted to scam $200 out of a grocery store by claiming they never received their cash back and using an old precept as "proof." Other stores around the area have reported similar incidents. Investigation is ongoing.

A thief stole a car parked outside a Redmond residence sometime overnight. An Officer found the vehicle a few blocks away and discovered it had been rifled through and the stereo missing. The car was returned to its owner but no suspect has been identified.

With assistance from Bellevue PD's K-9 unit, RPD arrested a 32-year-old male suspected of breaking into a drug store to steal inhalants. The thief had helpfully left a hat behind in the store so the K-9 had a good sniff of his scent. Police located the suspect nearby, lying on the ground and surrounded by stolen cans of keyboard cleaner. He was booked into jail and is facing multiple charges.

Police investigated a report of a stolen motor home after the victim arrived at his business to find the vehicle missing. Investigation is ongoing.
