This month our meeting will start with a talk by John Burbank, executive director of the Economic Opporuntiy Institute. He will be addressing the plight of the middle class in our state and growing income inequality due to our state’s regressive tax policy, the polarization of income and wealth, and the starvation of public services.

John has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and a B.A. from Evergreen State College. HIs extensive past experience in the public policy arena includes being political director of the Washington State Labor Council and staff coordinator for the Washington State Senate.
