Pushing Boundaries' Walk a Mile in my Shoes, the July celebration of movement walkathon, will culminate with a Final Mile Celebration on Sunday, August 5th from 11-1 at Grass Lawn Park in Redmond. The event will be based out of the park's Dome Shelter. Limited parking is available in the park's Old Redmond Road parking lot. Carpooling is encouraged.
The community is invited to join in the movement by walking a final mile together and celebrating the successes of the July fundraiser. There will be group activities, food, and other community organizations such as Seattle SLAM (wheelchair rugby), Outdoors for All, Sammamish Rowing Association's Adaptive Rowing, and many others will be on hand.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about paralysis, encourage people to not take the ability to move for granted, and help raise financial support for Pushing Boundaries. Pushing Boundaries is a Redmond non-profit organization providing intensive exercise therapy to people with paralysis.
