Redmond Poultry Predictor 4 Mile Race

On Saturday, November 19 at 8am, the City of Redmond’s first four mile Poultry Predictor race will begin at the Mackey Creek shelter in Farrel McWhirter Park, 19545 NE Redmond Road. Five participants who finish the closest to their predicted times will each win a frozen turkey just in time for Thanksgiving.

The race is open to all levels of runners because finishing first is not the objective. Runners must guess their running time before the race begins and those that finish closest to those times are the winners.

Online registration for the Four Mile Predictor is available through November 18 at www.active.com/running/redmond-wa/redmond-poultry-predictor-2011. The fee is $15 without the long sleeve technical t-shirt and $30 with the t-shirt. Race day registration is $20 from 6:30 to 7:30am with a limited supply of tech shirts available for purchase that day.

The course details are available at www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/54229168. The four mile out and back course begins at the Mackey Creek Shelter in Farrel McWhirter Park and runs along the scenic Puget Sound Energy Trail. There are two water stops on the course.
