Suspect In Redmond Fatal New Year's Shooting At-Large
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. during a party at The Trails of Redmond apartment complex in Overlake.

REDMOND, WA - Police have released new details about the fatal shooting that occurred during a New Year's party at an apartment complex in the Overlake neighborhood early Sunday.
The fire department responded to an alarm inside a recreation room at the Trails of Redmond apartment complex at 16800 Northeast 39th Court around 2 a.m. There was no fire, but a large group of people in the room smoking may have set off the alarm. A few minutes later, firefighters heard a gunshot, and they discovered a man in his 20s dead outside the recreation complex.
Redmond, Bellevue, and Kirkland police canvassed the area looking for a suspect, but were unable to locate one. Police do not believe there is a threat to the public, however. Police say there were about 100 people in attendance at the party.
