Glue Spill In Redmond Closes Major Road (Updates)
Crews are trying to unglue a street in Redmond after a roofing glue spill Tuesday morning.

REDMOND, WA - A roofing glue spill closed a major artery in the city for much of the day Tuesday, including through the evening rush hour.
The spill happened around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of Redmond Way, just west of the 520 entrance and exit ramps. About 50 gallons of glue spilled, but fire crews were able to stop the substance from leaking into storm drains.
Still, the glue caused a sticky traffic situation, with all westbound lanes closed. Redmond originally estimated the lanes would reopen by 3 p.m., but around 3:30 p.m. Redmond police said that they would try to open one westbound lane by 4:30 p.m. All lanes were reopened by 10:19 p.m. Tuesday.
