Jenness' hat trick lifts Overlake past Stadium in boys lax

Barrett Jenness’ hat trick led to its third win of the season with an 8–7 boys' high school lacrosse road victory over Stadium on Friday at Mason Middle School in Tacoma. 

Kevin Sample and Erik Resa combined for 14 ground ball grabs to set-up the Owls’ offensive attack. For Stadium, Giavanni Natalizio and Drew Ramsey each netted 2 goals and Kevin Park and J.P. Falk were stellar on defense, grabbing a combined 17 ground balls.

Overlake (3-6-0) next faces Bellevue (10-3-0) at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Overlake School in Redmond.

Klahowya drops Redmond to increase Olympic lead by 2 games

Nick Johanson led all scorers with 4 goals as first place Klahowya extended its Olympic Conference lead by 2 games with a 10–3 boys' high school lacrosse win over Redmond on Saturday at . 

The win was the seventh of the season for the Eagles, who have won four straight since dropping its second of the season to Highline on April 11.

For Klahowya, Chris McGuire netted 3 goals and 3 assists to contribute to the win, while Nehemiah Salo had 7 saves.

Redmond (5-3-0) next faces Mt. Si (1-10-0) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdasy at Snoqualmie Middle School.

Frank's hat trick lifts Overlake past Evergreen in girls' lacrosse

Mariel Frank’s hat trick led past Evergreen 16–3 in girls' high school lacrosse action on Saturday at McKenzie Stadium in Vancouver.  The win was the seventh overall for the Owls and third in a row since dropping a 12–10 decision to Forest Ridge on March 11.

Overlake’s Sarah Silverman opened scoring just 16 second into the game as the Owls rolled off the first 10 goals of the game before Sara Ornelas-Casarez posted a late first-half goal for Evergreen.  With a 12–1 advantage at the half, the Owls combined designed ball control and widespread position changes to add another 4 goals to cruise to the win.

For Overlake, AD Gildner and Kerri Smith each netted 2 goals. They were among 12 Owls to score in the game.

Overlake girls down Kennedy for eighth lacrosse win

Grace Grubb scored 6 goals and Katie Hill netted 5 to guide Overlake to its fourth win in a row with a 20–8 girls high school lacrosse defeat of Kennedy on Monday at Kennedy High School in Burien.

Overlake’s offense was running on all cylinders as the Owls raced to an 11–6 half-time lead, before notching another 9 goals in the second to cruise to the win.   With the win, Overlake has now outscored its opponents 137 to 65 this season.

Hill’s 11 ground balls helped set the pace for the Overlake offense as the Owls have now scored in double digits in each of the eight wins this season and hit the 20-goal mark for the first time with Monday’s win.

Danielle Sposari had a hat trick and Jessika Lackie had 8 saves in goal for the Lancers.

Overlake (8-1-0) next faces Bellevue East (8-0-0) at 5 p.m. Friday, April 29 at the Overlake School in Redmond.
