Idylwood Beach In Redmond Closed Due To E. Coli Levels
Idylwood is the fourth beach in King County since Memorial Day to close due to high bacteria.
REDMOND, WA — The beach at Idylwood Park is the latest in King County to be closed due to high levels of bacteria in the water — specifically, E. coli.
King County announced the Idylwood closure on Wednesday afternoon. According to the county, E. coli levels were over 1,000 colony forming units (CFU) per 100 milliliters of water. The safe range is considered between zero and 1,000 CFU.
The Idylwood beach will remain closed until the next round of tests, which the county usually conducts on Mondays.
