The fall happens as safety officials warn about children and open windows. With warm weather, people like to open windows for air. Puget Sound Regional Fire Capt. Kyle Ohashi recently told Q13 that having a locking device on windows to keep them from being lifted more than a few inches is an excellent safety option. He warned never to place a crib or bed near an open window.
