We welcome back Joan McBride as our featured guest for our June meeting. She will be talking with us about the Legislature's accomplishments and challenges and what the future prospects for legislative action are.

Joan represents the 48th Legislative District, which includes Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue and the point cities. She formerly served as the Kirkland Mayor and on the City Council. A longtime Eastside leader, Joan has served on many local non-profit boards. Prior to her service to the City of Kirkland, Joan worked in non-profit development and community relations.

There is no fee charged for attending our meetings, but we do ask everyone who attends to 1) buy a drink and/or food to support the restaurant that supports us, and 2) contribute when the hat-is-passed to pay for our speakers' meal.

Drinking Liberally - Redmond gives like-minded progressives a place to talk politics. You don’t need to be a policy expert and this isn’t a book club - just come and learn from peers, trade jokes, vent in an informal, friendly environment.
