Major Eastside Meth, Heroin Dealer Arrested: Police

Redmond and Kirkland police have arrested a 39-year-old man and recovered a large quantity of drugs.

REDMOND, WA - Redmond and Kirkland police have disrupted a major drug-dealing operation on the Eastside. A man allegedly in charge of dealing heroin and methamphetamine was arrested last week, according to Redmond police.

The 39-year-old suspect was arrested Feb. 21 during a traffic stop along the 12500 block of 116th Avenue in Kirkland's Totem Lake area. Redmond and Kirkland police arrested him there for possession of drugs and weapons.

According to Redmond police, a search of the man's home turned up one pound of methamphetamine and 20 grams of heroin. Police also found a loaded handgun on him.

That much methamphetamine could be worth more than $30,000 on the street, according to drug price estimates from the U.S. Department of Justice. The heroin would have a street value of about $3,000, according to the DOJ.

The arrest comes after what Redmond police called a "lengthy investigation" into the alleged drug dealer.
