MamaCon: The Real Mother's Day for Seattle-area Moms

Hundreds of Mothers to Attend Weekend of Parenting Tips and Pampering

Seattle – April 7, 2015 – For the fourth consecutive year, Seattle-based parenting experts Amy Lang and Kim Estes will host MamaCon, a conference just for moms. The event offers top-notch parenting development and education, self-care tips, relationship support, a vendor market place, food and wine and outstanding entertainment. With a TED Talk-style lineup of speakers, this event will inspire, encourage and rejuvenate moms as they tackle the most important and challenging job of their lives.

Held at the Embassy Suites Lynnwood, MamaCon begins Friday, May 15 with a book launch for the blogger-authored I STILL Just Want to Pee Alone. Hosted by parenting expert Rebecca Dube, Senior Editor of TODAY.com & TODAY Parents, the evening will include readings of hilarious anecdotes of life and parenting from five of the contributing authors as well as a vendor marketplace and delicious free cocktails. Free and open to the public, guests are encouraged to bring their partner or girlfriends to Friday’s event and enjoy the reduced Embassy Suites room rate of $89 and free full breakfast in the morning.

On Saturday, over 200 attending moms will be pampered, wined, dined and inspired with parenting and self-care tips from nationally renowned speakers. The event’s keynote speaker is Arlene Pellicane, co-author of Growing Up Social: How To Raise Relational Kids in a Screen-Driven World. Pellicane will share useful insights on child rearing in the digital age and how to balance the value technology adds with the dependence it creates. Additionally, 20-minute speaker sessions featuring other parenting gurus are peppered throughout the day.
