Crazed Carjacker Jumps Into Teen's Car, Swears At Cops

The teen was stopped at a red light with a man behaving erratically jumped into his car through an open window.

REDMOND, WA - A 16-year-old from Sammamish experienced a bizarre carjacking this week when a man in crisis jumped into his car through an open window.

The teen was stopped at a light along East Lake Sammamish Parkway near the Redmond Whole Foods on Wednesday afternoon. All of a sudden, a 29-year-old man approached yelling that god had told him to take the teen's car, according to Redmond police.

The man jumped through an open window, police reported, and then punched the teen in the face. The Sammamish teen ditched the car and ran to safety.

Minutes later, police got a call about a crash near West Lake Sammamish Parkway and SR 520. The carjacker had allegedly caused a crash with three other cars. Witnesses told police the carjacker began running around and jumping on cars in the moments after the crash.

When police arrived at the scene, he apparently began swearing at the cops as he stood on top of a car. He mixed in shouts of "I love you all!" along with the swears, police reported. The officers were able to catch the man and arrested him on a first-degree robbery charge.
