Man Rips Off Redmond Girl Scouts Selling Cookies At Bella Bottega
This is the second Girl Scouts-related theft in the area this week - that we know of.

REDMOND, WA — A shameless fraudster swindled $100 from a group of Redmond Girl Scouts recently, which is the second Girl Scouts-related theft in the area this week.
The scouts were selling cookies at the Bella Bottega Shopping Center last Friday when the man came up and asked to buy $30 worth of cookies. He handed the scouts a $100 bill, and they give him $70 in change.
It wasn't until the man was long gone that they realized his $100 bill was a fake. The scouts called police, but they couldn't track down any surveillance footage of the man.

On Monday night in Seattle, a man swiped $600 from a table of Girl Scouts set up at the Northgate QFC along Roosevelt Avenue. The man fled the scene on foot, but police were able to grab some surveillance images of the suspect. The QFC reportedly reimbursed the scouts for their loss, but the suspect was still at-large as of Friday.
In April 2018, two men robbed a Girl Scouts table at a Fred Meyer in Tacoma. But Haliyah DuBois, the 10-year-old girl robbed that day, didn't back down — she was back selling cookies at the scene of the robbery just a few days later.
