Our May meeting will be a particularly special one. In recognition of Mother's Day we will be welcoming Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner and Maggie Humphries, the founder/president and executive director, respectively, of MomsRising. MomsRising.org is a million-member movement of moms and the people who love them working together to champion policies that boost our families, communities, and our economy.

Kristin co-founded the organization in 2006 and has served as its CEO ever since. With 40,000 members in Washington, MomsRising is mobilizing local families to take action on paid family leave, sick leave, minimum wage, high-quality early learning, and equal and fair pay policies. Learn more about how the voices of moms, dads, women, and children are powering real and lasting change in Olympia, D.C. and across the country.

There is no fee charged for attending our meetings, but we do ask everyone who attends to 1) buy a drink and/or food to support the restaurant that supports us, and 2) contribute when the hat-is-passed to pay for our speakers' meal.
