Mental illness affects 20% of families and 5-7% of the adult population in the US. “Well-intended mental health services are more successful when working together. Mental Illnesses are biological and not the fault of the individual. Our society is only beginning to understand and treat persons affected by mental illness with the dignity and care they deserve,” said Manka Dhingra, NAMI Eastside Co-President.
NAMI Eastside sponsors include Janssen Pharmaceutical and American Pacific Mortgage Corporation.
