New Food and Beverage Director Named at Emerald Heights

Tema Bukowitz joins Emerald Heights

Emerald Heights, a Type A life care community with amenity-rich offerings and on site health care services for senior living, announced Tema Bukowitz as the newest addition to the team. Bukowitz will serve as the food and beverage director for the community.

In this role, she oversees the foodservice operations that will enhance and influence the overall resident experience. She will also be responsible for vendor communications and labor costs, and work alongside the culinary team to create and maintain menus that satisfy the residents of Emerald Heights.

Bukowitz has more than 15 years of experience working in the food and beverage industry. Previously, Bukowitz served as the director of operations for Madison Holdings and SBarro. She was responsible for budgeting and forecasting, sales growth, brand standards and the development of staff.

“Tema has immense expertise in the food and beverage industry; she will be a great asset to the team,” said Leah Diehl, executive director at Emerald Heights.

Bukowitz earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Western Governors University in Utah and an associate’s degree in food service restaurant management from New York Restaurant School. She is also SERVSAFE certified.
