'Nightmare' Commute: Puget Sound Snow Could Turn To Ice

Transportation officials are warning of a potentially dangerous commute Tuesday morning due to cold temperatures and wet roads.

REDMOND, WA - Transportation officials are warning Western Washington drivers to watch out for a potentially dangerous commute Tuesday morning due to snow and slush turning to ice overnight.

Snow totals varied across the sound, but the snow was very wet, and had begun to melt toward the evening hours on Monday. Temperatures will be in the 20s across much of Western Washington overnight Monday into Tuesday.

One local fire department said that the situation could become a "dangerous nightmare."
