Bellevue Woman Killed By Dump Truck In Redmond
The crash happened along SR 202 east of Sahalee Way Tuesday afternoon and closed the road for hours.

REDMOND, WA - A Bellevue woman was hit and killed by a dump truck Tuesday afternoon in Redmond, according to Washington State Patrol. The woman "ran out into traffic," state patrol reported, and the dump truck was unable to avoid her.
State patrol identified the victim as Janie Cook, 44, of Bellevue. The driver was identified by state patrol as Clinton Roberson, 43, of Monroe. As of Tuesday night, the incident was still under investigation.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday, and Redmond-Duvall Road was closed in both directions until about 5:30. The closure caused backups for up to two miles in both directions, according to WSDOT.
