About the facilitator:

Michael Dylan Welch is poet laureate of Redmond, founder and proprietor of National Haiku Writing Month (NaHaiWriMo), and curator of Redmond’s SoulFood Poetry Night and the Redmond Association of Spokenword (RASP). His writing has appeared in hundreds of journals and anthologies in more than fifteen languages, and he has judged and won first prize in numerous poetry contests. He is a cofounder of the Haiku North America conference and the American Haiku Archives, and founder and first president of the Tanka Society of America.
