Redmond Apartment Building Evacuated During 'Disturbance'

Redmond police reported the incident shortly after noon on Wednesday.

REDMOND, WA - Redmond officers responded Wednesday to a reported disturbance at an apartment complex in the northeast section of the city. Officers were called to the 18100 block of Northeast 95th Street around 11:15 a.m. At the scene, they found a person outside who was a potential victim. There were two possible suspects inside an apartment unit.

One of the potential suspects came out quickly, according to Crime Prevention Coordinator J.J. Perry, but the other person did not immediately come out. That prompted officers to evacuate some adjoining units.

As of 12:15 p.m., both suspects had been detained by police, and residents were allowed to reenter the building. The incident is still under investigation.
