Redmond Father Who Held Family In Apartment With Weapons Remains Jailed
The man's family had tried to have him committed in recent weeks, according to reports.

REDMOND, WA - A local father who allegedly held his family in an apartment here for a week is in the psychiatric ward of the King County jail after a judge ordered him held on $100,000 bail, according to reports.
The man's family had tried to have him committed several times before this recent episode, according to reports, but he was released from mental health facilities. Redmond Police reported over the weekend that the 34-year-old man pulled a fire alarm on Christmas, which led them to discover that he was holding his family in their apartment with various weapons, including a machete and a bow and arrow. The man also slept in front of the apartment door to prevent his wife and four children from leaving.
The man is being held in jail on five counts each of unlawful imprisonment and felony harassment with domestic violence enhancements.
