Redmond Grocery Store Closed - Again - For Health Violations

This is the second time over the last month King County health inspectors have closed this store.

REDMOND, WA - For the second time since Feb. 20, King County closed a Redmond grocery store after health inspectors found a "red critical" violation. Big Bazaar, 2789 152nd Ave Northeast, will reopen once the county verifies that the code violation has been corrected.

The latest closure is due to a malfunctioning walk-in refrigerator and "repeated red critical violations." Big Bazaar was closed on Feb. 20 for violations ranging from rodent-contaminated food to a lack of hand-washing facilities.

The store was allowed to reopen on March 14 after Big Bazaar passed a health inspection. The most recent closing happened Wednesday just after 2:30 p.m., and the store remains closed today.
