Redmond Grocery Store Closed Over Health Violations
King County closed the store after health inspectors found half a dozen health code infractions - including rodents.

REDMOND, WA - King County closed a Redmond grocery store on Tuesday after inspectors found multiple health code violations. Big Bazaar, 2789 152nd Ave Northeast, will reopen once the county verifies that the code violations have been corrected.
According to King County, inspectors found the following violations at the grocery store:
- Potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures.
- Inadequate facilities to control temperature of potentially hazardous food, cold holding.
- Handwashing facilities inaccessible.
- Toxic items not properly stored; i.e. concentrated cleaners stored above food.
- Imminent health hazard: Malfunctioning walk-in refrigerator.
- Food not wholesome: food contaminated by rodents.
The store was closed around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. You can find out when the store reopens by checking the King County health department website.
