About the facilitator:

Von Thompson is a mother, poet and actress. She holds an MFA from the Solstice MFA at Pine Manor College and a BA in English from the University of Puget Sound. She lives in the beautiful Sky Valley in Western Washington with her two boys and the Tribulation of Tabbies, and is also, at times, a sales office manager. These threads weave together in her very personal style of poetry, which focuses on the experiences and feelings that tie lives together. Von co-curates the Duvall Poetry Open Mic and serves on the Board of Directors of the Redmond Association of Spokenword. Recent publications include Common Ground Review and “The Good Men Project” (http://goodmenproject.com/category/poetry-corner/). She can be reached through her website, www.vonthompson.org.
