Redmond Man Is Victim In Seattle Shooting
The 19-year-old died Friday afternoon after someone opened fire on a group of people in the Central District.
REDMOND, WA — The latest victim in a spate of shootings in Seattle is a 19-year-old from Redmond, his family is saying. Royale Lexing was one of three people shot on Friday at the Union Market Friday afternoon in Seattle's Central District.
The shooting happened around 3 p.m. when someone opened fire near the corner of Union Street and 21st Avenue. After the shooting, Lexing and two other people drove to the nearby Swedish Hospital, but Lexing was pronounced dead there.
A 20-year-old and a 46-year-old were also wounded, but are expected to survive.

Nine people were shot last week in Seattle, including Lexing. His mother, Laura Walker, told local media she doesn't know why someone would target her son. Seattle police said the suspects fled the scene in a car, but they have not been caught yet.
