Redmond Police Seek Sears Jewel Thief

Man allegedly robs ring from department store after telling a clerk that he had a weapon.

REDMOND, WA - Police are looking for a man who stole a ring from Sears on Monday afternoon.

The man went to the jewelry counter and asked to see a ring. The suspect then passed the clerk a note stating that he was armed, but he never displayed a weapon. The man then fled the store with the ring.

Redmond Police describe the man as having dark skin, about 5-foot 9 inches, with facial hair and a medium build. He was wearing glasses and a black sweatshirt at the time of the robbery.

If you recognize the suspect or see him in public, police are asking that you call 911 because of the possibility that he is armed.
