Seattle Man Arrested In Series Of Redmond Burglaries

REDMOND, WA - Redmond police have arrested a serial burglar from Seattle for allegedly breaking into at least two homes here recently. Jermarsa Jackson, 29, is being held in jail on $50,000 bail on a charge of residential burglary.

Surveillance footage helped Redmond detectives identify Jackson as a suspect. One of the homes he allegedly broke into on Nov. 13 captured clear images of Jackson, according to police. Jackson allegedly stole $5,000 worth of property from that home.

Detectives arrested Jackson at a King County library branch, and while in custody, he allegedly told police he broke into another home in Redmond on Nov. 29.

Police said Jackson told them he targeted ground floor apartments with open blinds. Jackson has been arrested 23 times and has six previous burglary convictions, police said.
