Symetra Employees Give Back in Redmond during Symetra Week of Service
"This annual tradition gives us a chance to ... make a positive impact in our communities through hands-on service."—Symetra CEO Tom Marra
Wearing bright green ‘Symetra Volunteer’ T-shirts, 18 Symetra employees from the company’s Bellevue headquarters office recently took a break from their workday to give back in Redmond — contributing nearly 80 volunteer hours on behalf of Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center as part of the eighth-annual Symetra Week of Service (June 13–17 ).
Symetra provides employee benefits, annuities and life insurance through a national network of benefit consultants, financial institutions, and independent agents and advisors. The Bellevue-based employees helped re-paint Little Bit’s activity trail and arena poles. They also assisted with landscaping the facility in advance of the organization’s horse show.
“Symetra is recognized as a company with a strong volunteer spirit. While we’re engaged in supporting nonprofits year ‘round, the Symetra Week of Service spotlights our employees’ involvement in and commitment to the communities in which we live and work,” noted Symetra CEO Tom Marra. “This annual tradition gives us a chance to connect with our colleagues, join forces to help our nonprofit partners who do so much good and make a positive impact in our communities through hands-on service.”
