Teen Intensive: Clay
Come stimulate your mind and encourage your creativity while learning techniques like coil, slab, extruding, carving.
Have you ever wondered what you can make with clay? Whether you want to create utilitarian pottery or experiment with malleable clay to design garden art or sculptures, this intensive is for you! Come stimulate your mind and encourage your creativity while learning techniques like coil, slab, extruding, carving, and wheel throwing in a fun and social environment this summer. Bring your favorite music to share and get the creativity moving to bring functional and sculptural clay pieces to life. No experience necessary – just bring your imagination!
Students are encouraged to bring images and patterns of inspiration, a jpeg self portrait (selfies are fine), an old towel, a brown bag lunch (each day), a water bottle, and appropriate clothes to get messy in class. All other materials and supplies included. Pieces will be ready for pick-up within two weeks after the last class.
