Time for Deep Gratitude
Honor and gratitude for American boots on the ground giving priceless sacrifices so the USA has time for another Memorial Day Celebration.

Since 1945 brave men and women died in military service giving humanity more time to consider the use of atomic energy. My deep gratitude and prayers for them flow this Memorial Day. Growing up in Richland, Washington, made rich with federal money taught me to respect government rules and fear God. http://www.hanfordcleanup.org/
Without the sacrificed lives of Americans serving in the military how could I have sat quietly these past 45 years studying my favorite Book, the Holy Qur’an. Reading the Holy Qur’an comforts my heart “…whoso does an atom’s weight of good will see it. And whoso does an atom’s weight of evil will also see it.” (99:8-9) It is very sad that over 2,200 American soldiers have died in the War in Afghanistan. It is even sadder that the veteran suicide rate is averaging 22 every day. The title of the book “Catch-22” set in WWII came to mean a type of unsolvable logic puzzle. Serving in the military and obeying those in authority can seem overwhelming but soldiers and veterans need not despair or turn to dark humor. The Holy Qur’an states “O ye who believe, obey Allah and obey the Prophet and obey those in authority from among you” (4:60). Each person can use their unique gifts to benefit themselves and the world. Thank you to all those people who have given their lives in service to the U.S.A.
